The alarm does draw some current, but it shouldn't have flattened the battery enough for it not to start after 4 days, it would be worth making sure the glove box and boot lights are going off.

Don't discount that just because it is a new battery it is okay, some are not. Make sure it is holding its charge, I have had a couple of the years that were replaced after a couple of weeks.

also check the pin switches for switching off the interior lights,i think mine are sticky, had one day alarm was going off as the interior light was coming back on by itself.

my derv will go flat after a couple of weeks. Got a solar trickle charger, helps, but not much.

Bought a heavy duty £70 Exide, lasted about 3 weeks, before it went dead flat, they changed it, but as Stamford says, get it load tested.
