To put things into perspective I had 190bhp with a decat, Janspeed cat back and a BMC CDA induction kit. After a remap it peaked at 199.4bhp when heatsoak ended the session after 11 runs.

For 206bhp he would need cams to get those figures. A Superchip is only good for a standard car and that would probably give a figure of 187bhp approx. With the mods he has mentioned I would still say sub 190 tbh even though it has a K&N which I do not rate on a 180.

Always thought chipping and remap got about +15bhp

so i would expect hes on 195bhp?

but the new twin powerflow exhaust system and K&N filter must make up the rest :o

if not 206bhp... then at least close to it! surely?

I would like to think my cold feed and powerflow system gives a combined increase of about 7bhp

Wasn't the 180 rated at 175 the same way the 120 is rated at 115?

All 180's vary from the factory but tend to be around the 177 mark on average.

I had over 206 without weather correction forecasting, maybe Superchips figures don't take this off as it is a laptop installation and not rolling road proven or set-up? With an off the shelf mod you can state what you like as there is no allownace for see before you buy.

According to this calculator he should be around 196bhp.

That calculator is good, if I had everything done to my 120 it reckons it would reach nearly 227bhp but it did ask me if I wanted to blow up my engine and advised I spend the money on a new car!
