i just got the letters SRS backlit in red come up on the dash, what the hell does this mean?

remember to disconnect the battery for at least 20 mins before you look at the connections. give em a good clean and a spray of wd40. if it the seat connections this usually does the job. also try the drivers side first, usually the one that plays up

supplementary restraint system fault, as mentioned before most likely will be the side airbag connectors under the front seats ( on zs models)

Its recommended to disconnect, tbh I never have and been ok but its always been at least 20 mins with ignition off.

Mine used to do it regular, disconnecting / cleaning only used to cure it for a few weeks, in the end I did away with connectors completely by soldering and using heat shrink.
Been 100% ok since.

i never knew about this problem so booked it in with the local garage. bastids charged me 40 quid to sort it out. not a bad price for a squirt of wd40 lol
