Quick question

A while ago I asked about a misfire I was trying to track down. Tried all the usual stuff to no avail but recently the car wouldn't start and it turned out to be a loose/slightly corroded wire to the starter motor. My question is, could that loose wire be the cause of a misfire? I think it must of been like it for a while and I'm sure someone said that any loose electrical wire could cause a misfire. Is this true and could it be the cause?

I wouldn't have thought so, the wire is only live when the ignition switch is in positon 3.

Hambo-180 is on a distinguished road
I had that rotten starter motor wire issue e few weeks ago, dead annoying, wouldn't imagine it would cause a miss fire though!

As James says, unless it was shorting out to ground then maybe, but that would and can cause a fire.

if it was shorting it would just blow a fuse or as kev says go on fire, theyre on different circuits so can see how it would cause a misfire
