Locking nuts

Hi all, its been one of those days today Got all prepared this morning to refurb my wheels but didnt get very far
Went to take the 1st wheel off until i realised i have a locking wheel nut and no key to get it off with, phoned up a couple of garages for a price on having them removed and they quoted me £10 a corner providing i supply the new nuts.
The question is, does anyone know a secret tip for removing them???
or am i gonna have to pay the price

Are they O/E "made of choclate" locking nuts?

Have you looked in the door pockets, centre consol, glove box, boot?

It is possible to get them off with the right tools.
