my best mpg yet?

I didn't work out the actual mpg but I'd guess this is from 45L of fuel. How did I achieve this? I replaced my rear seats with a wedding cake

what engine? Are you parked facing uphill :P

I just found a seized calliper that I fixed last weekend so am looking forward to seeing the difference on the next fill up, already seems better!

Yeah, dragging brakes will kill the mpg, under inflated tyres also.

Tyres at 33/30. KV6 on the flat. I was cruising on teh motorway at 3333 rpm with as little throttle as possible. Not massivley fun. Apologies for the massive picture, I hate when people do that so I'll have to edit it later.

Last night I acheved 7.6mpg on my journey home of 9 miles, but it did take 1 hr 40 due to the snow chaos, today was the best ever journey home, 17 minutes and didn't actually stop once.

I managed +420 miles out of my old Mk2 a few times on long trips... it seems the Kv6 likes to sit at about 80mph because the economy was much less if you stuck to 70 or below.

Great cruising machine

I've never managed to get that from mine. Also mines the complete opposite, it is great on economy around 65mph before the vis start kicking in but as soon as your stretch its legs to anything like that you can certainly tell the difference.
All this mpg talk certainly does prove that although they are the same cars they are all different too. If the same person drove 3 different cars in the same way I bet there would still be a big difference between fill up distance.

Mine had a custom carbon fiber induction kit and full Janspeed exhaust from the manifolds back - so that probably helps
