fuel in ZS180

Quick question ..... my seller informed me that he had only ever used Super Unleaded fuel, as the Super cleaned the engine ...... my question is
What fuel do most people use (bar the derv people)?

THREE DAYS TILL PICK UP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ide love to say my 180 runs on nothing but Super but due to having a family she has to settle for the standard unleaded as its much cheaper due to the high mileage my Zed does every year.

Any downside to running unleaded ... I'm thinking of the £££ saving of using

I think it depends on how much you use the car. If its a daily runner and your putting 10,000 miles a year on it like i am using super would get expensive. Where as if it was kept in the garage and only brought out when the sun is shining i would deffinately use super. Theres know doubt its better for the engine, i guess it just comes down to what you can afford.

Ive ran my Mk2 180 on Normal unleaded fuel for 8 years and its been great. I know im going to regret saying this but its been unbelievably reliable. It's never broke down in the 8 years ive had it.

OllieZS is on a distinguished road
I only use super unleaded and when the cars mapped it will be to only super, I use tje car everyday and find its not that bad financially, remember theoretically you'll get more miles to a tankful using super.

ah, the age old fuel debate, I have used normal bog standard supermarket fuel in my Mk2 180 and she is now 9 years old, nearly 70k on the clock and is a fantastic runner.

R8NMG will become famous soon enough
I always use super unleaded but not just any SUL, its V-Power when I can but for convenience it has been Tesco Momentum 99 most of the time. This has always been true for the last 8+ years.

Tried both, mapped both on Fuelly, for the MPG bonus (about 0.5 - 1mpg) compared to the price, I stay with standard unleaded now
