3 x 1 Ohm Resistors

My fans have gone on 1 & 2 and so I need the resistors to do the self repair however when I visited Maplin last week they only had 2!

I would order from RS but then I end up with 25 as minimum purchase!

Does anyone have any going spare?

you might find that 1ohm slows speeds 1 and 2 down too much. i went with 0.56 in the end.

but to add i only changed resistors controlling speeds 1&2 and left the remain coil in place as it is really quite study....

why not order one online if you 'need' it?

You need 3 different value resistors to repair the pack correctly.

technically yes the resistances are not the same.... on the how to guide over on .org a huge number of pages in they updated it from the original 1ohm to 0.56.... then they mentioned how to recreate the OE resitance vlaues using a combination of other ones.... but you had to run a few in parellel etc.

Just seemed easier to go with single ones

As you know I noticed that 1 and 2 had failed and decided to dig out the how to guide and give it a go.
It was a lot simpler than I expected and now I have all fans working again!
