I have a 1.8 petrol from a MK1, although it was involved in a crash so I don't know the condition of it.

haha 16v upgrade by putting a 1.8 head on a diesel. Seriously though, no it deffo wont work!
There is a complete 115 engine from a ZS including fuel pump and turbo on ebay for £360.
