TBH Its only worth about £500 as it is. If it needs a new engine £1000+ and if that new engine needs belts then thats another £400+. And on a car worth little more than £2000 most people wont bother. It will just get broken for spares. Sad isn't it.

rattle at 3000 revs only? not the plenum problem? some garages misdiagnose things sometimes. obv not heard it myself. thing is as ive said to a few people looking at cheap cars recently, sometimes your better just spending a bit more getting the slightly batter car as your gonna be forking out a lot otherwise

Probably means that he uses it for a company vehicle - might get a vehicle allowance for it!

With that aside, that could be one heck of a bargain if it is actually the VIS playing about!

engines been ran with no oil so sounds more like that will be the problem rather than the vis
