Lightbulb El Retro - For Sale possibly May

Right guys I have got a promotion and it is looking like I will be transferring in May. This move makes the Retro surplus to requirements and reality hit as I initially wanted to keep it to tinker with but with ankle biter en route, any time i do get will be more than likely preffered to be spent on the ZS tbh.

Silver
5 Dr
1996 P Plate
114 Gsi
CD player
Approx 83K Miles now but more likely to be around 84K come may
A good bit of service history
New Dizzy Cap & Rotor Arm
Recent Head gasket change along with Thermostat, timing, aux belt and water pump.
New top mount and track rod end on N/S
New rad
Replaced coolant bottle
Fitted rear spoiler
Rev counter clocks
6x9's in rear shelf
Recent new discs & Pads on front
MOT till June iirc
6 Months tax just paid for, waiting for disc now
Recent new exhaust prior to me buying it.
Arches replaced just prior to my ownership -rattle can paint job but still better than the usual rotten ones 100's come with
New battery fitted today 11/04/2010
?500 plox

Is a cracking wee motor, love driving it. Wanted to VVC it but as said there won't be the time to do it as quick as I would want. In great condition for it's age, couple of lights spots of rust showing through but nothing startling tbh and also as said the rattle can finish on rear arches but still looks presentable Thread up early mainly to see what interest there may be and when may comes I will want shot pretty sharp tbh as going to be busy enough round that time lol

p.s. Speedometer has stopped working, instrument cluster and cable are fine so narrowed it down a bit, keeping a note of mileage done though as odometer works off speedo drive obviously some fresh pics taken today, before i bought new battery

I did think the same thing Mick, but I think Gary is scotland area

I'd guess the 114 would get about 40 odd mpg if not better?

I love it when people call me at 3 AM. "Hey, you asleep?" "No, I'm skydiving."

Aye, based in Glasgow Mick, though I did go to leeds to pick her up when i bought it

mpg wise I have not seen below 41mpg since i have been running her and latest calculation shows 45mpg. it doesn't seem to vary much between when i do Mway driving and through town routes. Sits at 70+ all day. Sure if i drove a bit easier I could get a good bit more mpg and keep meaning to but it doesnt happen lol

Sounds ideal but a round trip of between 15-16 hours is way too much, shame and it'll cost approximately ?120-130 in fuel.
