either the first gear synchro or something like an engine mount causing too much play making the engine swing and knocking it out of gear

the gear linkage rubbers might be on the way out - so when the engine moves the arms can push the stick linkages about. If it pushes it far enough it might cause it to pop out.

If it still goes into gear fine on upshifts and down shifts chances are the synchro is ok

Which engine/gearbox does she have?

The 160 has the PG1 box, the smaller engines get the Ford R65 box.

Either way if it goes into gear ok it wont be a clutch problem.

Sorry, didn't realise that there were 3 engine sizes on the ZR and a Ford box is a ford box and as such doesn't interest me unless it is in a RS200.
