My fleet of RC Cars

Following on from the snow thread, here's some shots of my "fleet!"

I'm a bit of a sucker for Tamiya models so over the years I've build up quite a few... with a few other mixed in from Kyosho and HPI that add to about 80 - 90... I've not counted recently

One of my favourites, and one of my best pictures. Taken for a comp on the Tamiyaclub world owners club it ended up coming second

The truck that more or less started it all, the Traxxas EMaxx... the truck that actually got me my user name as the first forum I ever joined was for RC car racing!

The Kyosho Blizzard - fantastic fun in the snow

The HPI Baja 5B... insane fun and a deadly weapon if it ever hit you!

My Tamiya Mountaineer... the oldest model I own and probably the most vauable

All the Impreza's together

The Juggernaught... it's a bit of a monster

The Aeromax. A total swine to drive as it's so damn big and heavy. This one is probably the most expensive as it runs 6 channel radio gear and everything is automated. it looks, sounds and acts like a real truck

My little F201 F1 car. Carbon fibre everything and proper inboard cam driven suspension. I love this car

Godzilla - the Nissan Skyline R34 Z Tune replica I made up with full lighting kit

My old racing colours from back in 2005 when I was sponsored by Morrisons MG garage in Stirling

The Crawler project I put together back in the days when rock crawling was still a bit underground and you couldn't buy kits off the shelf. This one started life as a Tamiya TXT1 that was modified until the point only the chassis and axles were original!

and the rest of team orange. My current Tamiya TRF 416 racing chassis (imported from Japan) and HPI Micro RS4

And the last time they were all together in one place in the back garden

and all the stuff that lives in the loft

there's loads more here:

That lot would fill my house!
Used to have a Tamiya 406, Mini and S2000. Loved them all but got smashed to pieces as the only place I could run them was on the road!
Was offered my mates 1:6 Kyosho Impreza but its just to big and fast! Would love a nitro one day.

cheers lads. I've been running these since 1999 and only stopped racing at the end of last year when my local club went bust.

It's been a long and exciting time in places. I found a Tyrell 6 wheeler in my ex girlfriends uncles loft and he just gave me it... the car was mint and worth a silly amount of money.

Then there was the TA05 powered Ferrari F430. I had good links with a few guys in Japan and I had my kit built and painted the day after it was officially launched in Japan - and a week before anyone else in Europe got hold of one.

almost if not every car in that group picture has a story to it

nitro is a total pain in the ass, I've only got 3 and they hardly ever run these days

the Baja is 2 stroke and much more user friendly, starts without any issue even after sitting for months, is much cheaper to run (at todays prices roughtly 50p of unleaded and 2 stroke oil per tank - a tank lasts about 30 mins if you drive flat out everywhere!) and is faster
