Just ordered myself a new PC:

Dell InspironTM 530 ST
Intel® Viiv™ Core™ 2 Duo E6750 Processor (2.66GHz,1333MHz,4MB cache), Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium, Dell™ 22" Black Wide Flat Panel, 500GB (7200rpm) Serial ATA/100 Hard Drive with 16MB DataBurst™ cache

No clue what all that means, but sounds interesting.

What are going to be running on it? Sounds a good spec.

Mine is a couple of years old now, but I spec'd mine up as I do alot of 3D work on mine. I always find the biggest killer cost being the graphics card, my works one cost over £800!

Intel® Viiv™ Core™ 2 Duo E6750 Processor - not heard of that processor until now...

Seems like it should do you for a while - maybe a little more HDD space.

How much RAM has it got? Thats the big thing now, and with Vista, you should be looking to have at least 2GB. Quite jealous of that 22" monitor though... 500GB should be well enough if you keep it tidy

I just bought myself a top of the range (gaming) graphics card, only just under £200 and well worth it, considering that some cards cost double that for the same performance settings.
