starting probs

hi guys some advice if poss , ive been offered an mgzr 1.4 for my lad , however the price is low due to starting probs it will allways starts but takes a lot of turning over before it does start , any ideas ? or suggestions , thought i would take advice before buying "what do ya think "

Crank position sensor would be my first port of call.....check for a spark at the plugs

Could just need a decent service or possibly a fuel pump, fuel filter, ignition components etc.

If you can get an OBD2 reader (i.e. scangauge etc) and plug it in you'll proberbly get the answer.

check the battery voltage, might just be slow truning over, or head gasket could be away with coolant in the bores, and its taking a few revolutions to clear, or low compression
without looking at it pretty much impossible to say
