There's a Black one up for auction at Silverstone Auctions this Saturday, estimated at £32000 to £35000.

They are nice, the RS500 wasn't that much different to a normal. crazy how they go for so much compared to the normal 3 doors, if i remember a little more power and no fogs extra spoiler.
My bro used to be right into his fords and used to have this one
had a wee shot of it a few times, was running about 380bhp

225bhp versus 204 I think, good for the time.

Marmite for some people but I love them, big asking price is more than likely from only 500 being built there cant be that many left and especially in standard form with low miles, don't reckon the dealer would get near the 50k
but it is a very special classic non the less.
Was watching the Touring car legends that made me look for one on the net.
Think the Sierras are really the 1st time I took notice of Touring cars on tv that could be on the road.

Always loved the sierra cosworths since I was little, my dads foreman still has his black saph 4x4 one that he has owned from new, always remember it driving up to the garage in the mornings, then the MOT garageowner across the road had a nice white 3 door as well, plus an escort cosworth. Had pondered about buying one
