Recommended Mobile MG-Rover Specialist
The MGF suffered a failed water pump 2 days after collecting it, not the ideal start to 'F' ownership! What with my back playing up and on pain killers I was in a pickle! I was given this guy to contact, Russell Walsh of www.mgroversolutions.com and he was excellent.
He got to my house about 2:15 today and by 3:10 it was running and finished by 3:30. K-series water pump and belt change for £150. Check his website for head gasket work as well.
So anyone needing K-series work doing including the KV6, then contact Russell. He did say he can do the KV6 belts for £350 and he will travel.

For Derv's there is a guy on the forums that will do it for a fair bit less. Turbozed on xpf or Cap'n Zs on .org is worth sending a pm - i think he said he has racked up 30 belt changes now!
I have not used him, but he also gets a good recommendation from the people he has travelled to to change the belts.

Russell is based in Kent but will travel. He has been as far as Scotland and tends to book jobs in on the way back down so he can make the trip worthwhile.
He has been mentioned in MG Enthusiast and does not advertise as he does not need to.
I told him to pop on here.

The F/TF'ers on .org do nothing but rave about him. Dont think many garages like doing the belts on the F/TF's!
Thats a very good price for the Kv6 belts, Is that without parts??

He does get his knockers, some say it's impossible to it in an hour, bullshit I say! I watched him do it! He made it look easy!
KV6 includes the belts, his says no need to change the water pump unless it has gone or if you wanted to change it, they rarely fail.

Yeah, I know... Was quoted £185 to change them, but don't fancy the 9 hour round trip to get it done

my belts ain't due till late in the year but at that price it would be worthwhile them being done early alongside Gary and Kev.
