Work place rivalry
Just for fun this one!
On 12 hour days today and have been discussing over a brew with colleagues, the my upcoming attempt at our in house hill climbing challenge!
Basically, on our route out of the factory there is a long down hill slip road to the dual carriageway which then climbs steeply for half a mile until you reach the peak and pass under a footbridge to record your top speed.
To give an idea, here are 4 speeds recorded by some;
My old Coop vvc; 113mph
Remapped Cupra R; 133mph
Civic type R; 131mph
206 TD; 90mph
Anyone got tips to get the best speed from my standard mk2 180? I don't even know where the rev limiter kicks in! Seemed a little sluggish after passing 100mph on a very wet and ultimately abandoned practice run last week.
By the way, i'm no boy racer and wish to set a good figure without having to use this weeks grocery money on poor attempts!! As much as i like keeping the Misses lookin slim, starvation is not the answer!
This is what happens as a result of pride and peer pressure! Lookin forward to your comments!!

make sure your tyre pressures are correct, make sure the throttle cable is adjusted right and make sure your vis is working properly

Erm, yeah... err, of course! I'm sure you good people would not encourage anything illegal. Onsite speed limit is 140mph, so we're good!

'Passing 100mph' when it's 'very wet.' Sounds sensible.
