Windscreen Washer Motor
.... is lacking in power. Wasn't working great before but now I have done that citroen mist mod thing hardly any water goes on the windscreen - the old ones were a bit better.
The motor does make a noise so don't know if it buggered and needs replacing??
Has anyone else had this and if so, what did you do to fix it?

filter may be blocked, if you whip the motor out may be able to clean it, failing tat think a mondeo one may fit if you speak to Kev G

Adding a non return valve might improve things as well, the original washer pumps seem to be pretty weedy

if the car is run on a heavy or neat mix of washer fluid then the soap kind of globs up and just gets sucked in, if it is like that in the bottle then if you take the motor into the house and wash it with hot water that should clean the filter, then get a kettle of boilng water and keeping feet well clear pour it into the washer bottle without the pump fitted, this will help shift some of the globby soap

Good one Ritchy, my one annoys me as well, some times the squirt barely reaches the windscreen and somethimes the fecker's shooting over the roof and onto the rear window!
