I've seen someone who hollowed out the area where the heated seat blanks are on the MK2 centre console and mounted the scangauge there. I had considered removing the clock but the option buttons mounted either side on the SG display are set just a bit wider than the gap the clock sits in obscuring the buttons.

Can't really see that picture... but if I can get hold of a scangauge I will look into the feasibility of fitting it in the clock arpature
