Yup. Torque lets you set the kerb weight and other pertinent factors to give as accurate an MPG reading as possible.

Different cars give different outputs, depends on the ECU and how many sensors are fitted around the engine.

A wifi OBD2 dongle (loads available on EBay) and a copy of Rev (either free or paid for from the app store). I have a note on my to do lost to see what other options there are without jail breaking the phone.
