instead of running them straight down the middle offset them to one side? so run the two strips over the car but over the passenger side as opposed to down the middle??
no good with that photo thing sorry.

If your set on doing it, have you considered something like this, in a dark grey, or silver. maybe even one of them, either over the top or down the side.
