Even if it is the same shade, it will need blending otherwise it will stick out like a sore thumb!

We did a spray job on a new Rover 75 when I was at college, used proper Rover paint and it looked cack without being blended in over a few panels

as its going to fade over time but i do polish it alot so hopfully it hasn't faded loads

There have to be loads of 2nd hand ones from written off ones with how easily they scrap them now.

You are polishing the clear coat, this has next to no bearing at all on the actual "faded" colour underneath, if its faded at all......
