So i'll prob have 6 points from now for another year, then back down to 3!

The trouble is, i knew the fixed camera was there! Just one of those things i guess as i was the nut behind the wheel!!! LoL.

The prosecuting authority need to send off the notice of intended prosecution, (NIP), to the registered keeper of the car within 14 days of the offence. If they haven't it's an abuse of process and they cannot proceed. That's the most common "loop-hole" if you like. They still send out the NIPs, and most people just go along with it, but if you reply stating that they are outside the legal time-frame, they won't go any further.

What if the registered keeper has sent them the name and address of the person driving at the time of the offence??

Traffic was never my strongest area .....

I reckon that they would have 14 days from the time that they received the notification. You need to check the date that the reg keeper got the notification and the date of the offence.

Bit of a guess though ....

its £60 3 points, 53 in a 30 i did n got that, very stupid hadnt had the car long, lucky if i do 31 in a 30 now very speed concius, the speed education thing is only available in england not scotland yet, we only get one for careless driving

for ahnd held speed checkers ye can ask for a calibration certificate for the gun, if they dont have one then they cant do you, but tbh yer better just taking the points n taking it on the chin if yev been caught on a gatsco

got me doing 39 in what i thought was a 40 road!

apparently its 30.. eventhough its not a built up area :|

some duel lane road between loads of trees and fields!

rule of thumb is if thers no speed limit up n theres street lights its 30, if yea say ye dint know it wasnt a 30 they could do you for without due care and attention possibly, loada rubbish mate tbh but thats the way it is, bits like that should be 40, but im all for 20 round schools n housing estates too many wee kids around n ud never forgive yerself if ya hit one

Lucky man .... More than 50% over and you tend to get a summons to court ...

Agreed though ... Around schools in residential streets .... 20 is fast enough. That advert running currently where the guy sees the kid everywhere he looks is quite sobering.
