MG TF120 Stepspeed, are they any good?

Right folks as title says really, i`m thinking of buying a TF120 Stepspeed main reason is i get stuck in traffic on a daily basis & auto`s are effortless to drive, i guess being a soft top en all tempts me somewhat!

Any feedback on this would be helpfull especially with any reliability issues or things to look out for!

Stepspeed gearbox is terrible and have an alarming failure rate.

costly to replace too as have to buy new most of time as if you find a auto in the scrap yard its 99.9% the gearbox fault its in there
