I spoke to the guy about the red one.

The passenger door handle has been replaced for a chrome one, so that needs sorting. There's some wear on the drivers seat, everything else seems tip top.

Downside, it's about 250 mile away, and has no tax, so I'd need to pay for tax, but the post office isn't open on a saturday, and as a weekend is the only time I can get down, that causes a problem.

Thought a ZT was out as it won't fit in your garage ....

Was going to have a pop about there being no decent ZSs out there - but having had a butchers - you're right really .... Ebay and Autotrader don't have much at all.

SuperchargedZS is/was selling what I reckon is the best Mk1 out there at the moment.

Mk2s - No pics in the advert yet - but send the seller a message. Long tax is a bonus.

The red hatch with the upturned DTM style exhaust looks decent and is about 15 miles from me apparently ....

The exhaust and sub in the boot looks like it's been owned by a youngen, and that leads me to question how well it's been looked after/thrashed.

Shame there's no pictures on auto-trader for the silver one.

If you're passing, feel free to stop in and have a look at it

garage wise, I think I'd only fit a ZS hatchback in the garage, the saloon and a ZT probably wouldn't fit. Got a bench at the back of the garage you see.

Send a message to the guy re the silver one - they'll send you some if you come over as a genuinely interested buyer, not a waster.

A 60 yr old woman won't look after a car like a so called youngen. It might have been driven hard, but show me a single guy on here who doesn't drive their 180s hard. Or their diesels for that matter .... I'd wager there are a few subs and amps in the boots of guys on here too.

Chances are that a youngen will have cleaned it every week and if it wasn't right, they'd have got it sorted.... And if you find a nice saloon or ZT - just move the bloody bench !

Send the guy some questions - clarify his age - why selling - etc etc - and then if you are genuinely interested, I'll take a trip over in mine to have a butchers .... Stamford did it for me when I bought the "red shed" .... so I'll pay it back by doing the same for you.

The red one that's for sale is actually a guy that's selling a handful of cars.

He was very helpful...

I asked if there was any damage to the seats, he said some wear on the drivers said bolster.

No sign of coolant loss.

No sign of clutch wear.

There's no rattling from the engine, manifold is good he says.

A few minor external scratches.

One of the door handles has been replaced with a chrome one, which isn't difficult to sort out.

No other external damage.

The guys also given me his email address so I can request further information.

But dan, if you wouldn't mind going to have a look at it for me, I'd send you some money to cover fuel and a couple of pints.

The silver one has been advertised for a couple of weeks with no piccie ..... good/bad? Possible that its an anti technology person .... or an 1/2 arsed attempt at selling?
Ad is very poor ------ doesn't fill me with any desire to pick up the phone !!!
4 Door Saloon, Silver, Petrol, Manual, Front electric windows, Heated door mirrors, Radio/CD , Alloy wheels, Side airbags, Alarm. Nice, tidy, sporty looking car with a deceptive amount of room in the boot.Sounds great.Mot until december 2012 and taxed until end of April. £1,800
