Well a very busy easter...Was on holiday the week before and the week after easter.... Went down to Cardiff to pick the good lady up on monday, god the M25 was awful. Pic of Zed outside the house. Back same day. Plenty to do once back, up London sightseeing, bit of decorating, loads of just chilling with bottle of wine, dinner and a good dvd. Good Friday was the open day at the local kit car company, DAX. Loads of nice Cobras and Rush's mmmmm. Best of all was one of the owners brought along his REAL not replica, Jaguar D-Type..all capped off with nice bbq. Then on the Bank Holiday monday down to a very very cold Lydden Hill to marshal on the European Rally Cross. I was on the start, I had to climb up a little green box to wave the "get ready" board to the drivers..Really good meet. No pics of the racers as they were all tucked away, and of course once in position, too busy marshalling. Still the show cars from Haynes of Maidstone werent bad.
The last pic is ZED overlooking the green in the village of FINCHINGFIELD.One of the most photographed villages in England, and voted the best kept village for more years than the locals can remember......
Then took the good lady home yesterday, and drove back this morning.
All three trips, worked out at about 30-35mpg...
Some nice photos - like the D-type We had a busy one as well, although doing all touristy stuff - 3 nights in Venice and then two in Salzburg. ~650 miles cruising at 90mph mostly and 32mpg average - bit down on what we normally manage, putting it down to the winter tyres.
