Most jobs like this aren't that difficult with a bit of knowledge and that is what we are here for.

Nope, not that much mechanical knowledge before taking on this stuff, just a good read up and a question here and there and then the realisation that you didn't need to ask the question because its obvious haha!
I'm just building up my knowledge and can sometimes offer advice now I've done stuff!
Just give it a go.
