Have you got any pix of where i should try and seal? as i said all i can see in the arches is black under seal

It's the top mount of the strut that you need to seal, thats where the water enters, it should have a seal on it, but it is either missing or ineffective.

The seal is number 12, and the cover 16 will improve things, 16 you'll need to source from a breaker.

I seam sealed the vent under the scuttle pannel yesterday and the passengers foot well is still filling with water, anyone know of other areas I can try to seal?..

Yep, there's a seam, and a sealing grommet behind the wing which will allow water in to the foot well, if you take the top row of bolts out of the wing and the one bolt in the door shut, you can ease the top of the wing out far enough to access both the seam and the grommet, the metal tag for the bolt in the door shut will need bending out to clear the door when you move the top of the wing outwards.
