Did you use hose clamps when removing the calipers? This will indicate how much fluid loss may have occurred. A complete system bleed consists:
  1. left hand front brake
  2. right hand rear
  3. right hand front
  4. left hand rear
When you bled the brakes how did you do it? Did you check the reservoir level during this process?

yeah we did them all and checked the level after each one. We'll have another go tomorrow.
