I'm thinking about ripping the VIS out, Ive read on the ZT forum that it gives a bit more power and seeing as I'm in the top end of the rev range all the time it wouldn't make any difference
pete burchill who races has a manifold with vis removed, you will loose some mid range which can be a real help when pulling out of corners.

I would first have a message/chat with pete (car13) and check that things work or can be fixed before gutting it.

the top end of the range is above 5500rpm where you may see 1-2bhp more, but are you always above 5500rpm - even through the bends?

try to keep it in the 5 to 6500 range as much as possible. It could be a swings and roundabouts situation. I would like to get a fully workimg manifold to compare the differences

well good news bad news really, Good news, our garage is really busy at the moment, bad news means I haven't had chance to do much to the track car at all.

Managed to get a clutch in the Pumesta but the poor old MG is still waiting.

I've also had a change of heart as to how far I'm taking the BTCC look. Based on the last year I've had with the car I really don't think I will get the time to do everything I wanted so I've made a compromise.

I'm giving a nod to the hotwheels team with some flames on the car but really haven't got time to respray and do a full replica job. I've made a start and have also decided to carbon wrap the bonnet, roof and boot, then add some XPower green to a few bits and fully sponsor the garage. We had a few hits from the track days with the minimal stickers we had already.

In Addition, a couple of companies we deal with have agreed to do a bit of sponsorship in exchange for some graphics on the car, so in essence it will be a unique design rather than a replica.

Rear spolier is under development and manufacture, I'll post some pics when its nearly done, as is a front spoiler. I've started with some of the graphics and wrapped the bonnet so far. Apologies for the pics but as its still awaiting a clutch its on the outside ramp out of the way.

finally managed to find some time to remove the gearbox and get the clutch out. Looks like a major failure with one of the drive plate springs firing out. bit of a shame as there is plenty of meat left on the plate

A few updates to the track car, boot lid carbon wrapped and spoiler fitted. New lightweight lower arms and lower brace fitted. Drilled and grooved discs, adjustable camber front and rear still to go on as well as carbon wrap the roof.
