I put a smear of blue hylomar around the holes and then knocked in the core plugs.

Most where in A1 condition mind you, only the one behind the adapter plate had some pitting on the back.

hylomar was my choice as well, still water tight after 18 months.

On the basis of this being neat and tidy i have ordered the diesel fan setup... its basically the same as the 420 one but with x2 fans on the front rather than just the one, on the 420 there is a puller fan on the back of the rad, but im thinking that what with a turbo charger in the way and a thicker rad i doubt it would actually fit... also i have no idea if the ZS 180 fans would fit, but i do know they would be very restrictive in terms of air flow for the standard intercooler.. so it makes sense i think.

This is one of Chazs pics but i will save them in case he deletes it lol.

Did quite a bit today.

Fitted the clutch.

New diff seals fitted.

I then decided to build a kind of mock up to see if the AC stuff from the 420 would fit ok.

The only thing i have had to do so far is modify the heat shield for the turbo... with a hammer  the pipe fouled the shield, it was fine with no heat shield, loads of room, but i wanted to keep it !

Glad to say so far so good, i just need to wait and see if the boost pipe clears the pipes when its all bolted up in place.

Modded heat shield.

Pipes at the side of the intercooler.

And my garage mock up

The only negative is that i seem to have lost an alternator... and the large boost pipe i had (uncut) from cooler to tb, how on earth i have managed this i dont know, the alternator on it now is the 420 one, but the bearings are a little noisy so i may get another one, the only other thing i need is a non leaky Pas pump... i thought the 420 one would be ok, but it seems like it has been leaking as badly as the Ti one

If anyone has a pas pump or known very good alternator (air con Ti/420) then could you let me know asap please ! (Paspump MUST be leak free and alternator clean and tidy with good bearings and known fully working ! i may buy a new one yet but funds are running a little low now until payday.

Hopefully, i will have a good stab at removing the V6 from the Zs tomorrow

I solved the PAS pump problem by having a non PAS rack on my maestro.

Nice mock up, you just need to lower the zs over it and bolt everything up.
