yeah its a love or hate thing with vinyls, it advertises the garage so the more garish it is the better.
Revised my thinking on the inlet manifold, the car is completely different since fitting the cherry bomb, it revs freer and seems to go quicker. I think the old Black Diamond (incorrect) back box was restricting it. Sounds like a big bike now and revs like one too.
developed a problem, occassionally the revs got stuck like it had a rev limiter... plugged it on the computer and it showed VIS balance motor stuck closed.
Going to try it with all the VIS internals ripped out. If that doesnt give good results, I have a ne inlet on standby.
solder them up first, it will cure the problem rather than gutting it which will effect torque which is needed pulling out of corners.
a car is not always faster at 5500 through the corners, sometimes its better balanced and quicker in the next gear at 4k, where you need the vis to work.
each corner is different and a data logger will show you whats best.
well I removed the butterfly from the balance VIS motor but also bought a complete working manifold to compare it with on the rolling road...when I get the chance...
in addition, today I was given...yes FOC given a full set of GAZ coil overs...they are for an Integra but I will be swapping the springs ... got to get these fitted before Silverstone next week.
set of coil overs now fitted and car lowered...its a bit too low though so will have to wind the coils up a bit....the sump os just 3 inches off the floor. drives well though
