Yeah... hmm, i know the teeth are ok, they meshed fine between the two.

Its more the loom powering it, or the checks it goes through... just wondering if there is any difference.

It could be related to the electronic brake distribution, the 420 wouldn't have had it but the zs would.

That's a shame, I can't think of a way of proving that it's the problem other than swapping units

Hey dude just seen your PM.
I suffered the exact same problem, i always guessed it was because of the sensor rings being different on the ZS to the 400, being that i had 400 shafts on a ZS ABS system the pattern would be incorrect. BUT.. im fairly sure the wheels would need to be turned for the ABS module to realise they are different, unless the heights are different to?
I'll have to look through the wiring diagrams but i'm fairly sure the ABS runs nearly completely separate to the rest of the car...
In the end i knew i would need custom driveshafts (with no sensor ring) so opted to remove the ABS system completely, its surprisingly good and very stable!

Thanks Dan, at least I'm not the only one !
The outer cv joints and teeth are the same, identical in fact, but so far, it appears that three of us have used the 400 loom and zs abs module and all of us have had the light on... I'm thinking I may need a 400 pump.

i think you could be right, would make alot of sense. them little flared fittings are a pain to undo and REALLY tight, so drown them well in advance lol
My omex wouldn't of been happy with ABS either thinking of it

Tell me about it lol... I think I might just try it, I'm gonna need the light off technically for the mot... And it was not on in the 400.

Wire the light to the alternator or oil pressure warning light so it appears to go out after the engine starts.

A T4 computer should be able to read the ABS ECU to see where the fault is, even with your hybrid loom.
