Today I spent all day cleaning the Zed bringing it back to its best and removing all the stones I had collected from last Sunday. ( got enough to make a driveway haha )

Good clean under the arches and at the same time checking for any play and removing the wheels. no damage or wear and tear so mechanically she's ready to run again..

As for the rear end being tail happy... I think I found my issues

..... Rotational tyres.... I have on the passenger side the correct wheels but on the drivers side at the rear I have a wheel that's for the passenger side ie I have 3 passenger tyres and one driver side.... How I never noticed this is madness! But can explain a lot I guess.

I must have checks my passenger side then checked the front drivers and never seen the rear one! Damn!

Had a check on eBay and found a pair of Pirelli P zero Corsa tyres for £70 posted and with 4mm tread so considering them..

After that I put the Zed away and started playing about with this..

It's a 1.2 8v punto, and it was free! Well it was the girlfriends but she has went and got a new car and doesn't want it no more.. So now it's mine

Needs a new sump and rocker cover gasket along with a back box. Still taxed and mot'd so might just tart it up and use it as a runner

Think the KV6 would fit in this haha!!

Wrong rotation of the tyres explains alot & good to see it's nothing out of sorts
I had a little Punto before the ZS, mega cheap to run & great in the city I miss the turning circle it has at times.

I knew it was slippy on the track last Sunday but it was every corner it was so tail happy... Felt like a Beemer rather than a MG haha!

Was thinking the 205/50's could have been an issue maybe just a little to tall but well its not a major difference to cause such a change in handling. The front driver side tyre has a slight score line in it from the arch catching it at the hairpin so will try and roll the arches out a bit as well.

Not too bad overall I think.

Could be on the hunt for two 17" alloys if any one has some.

Noobrider will become famous soon enough
I found mine was very tail happy at Blyton although it was wet. No such issues at Cadwell this weekend...just blew the clutch up though lol. Lightened flywheel, here we come along with an uprated clutch.

See our track was drying out yet still tail happy but the tyres need changing so that's 1st on the cards.

Would be good to have a site track day with us all .
