i think its more the brand name peter n thats why there tools are so expensive, ur paying for the name, it was somthing crazy like £130 in theyre specials sheet for stiltsons, crazy, anyone here know bills tool store? go there n come out with 2 big bags for like £20 lol

lol, in whitworth, got a load of spanners off the scrap man ages ago, well i musta been about 10. they came with a facom topbox that weighs more than my rolcab its made of that heavy gauge metal, with an assortment of about 100 britool spanners n other varios things, for wait for it, £10:P it was great buying tools when u wer a kid no one ripped u off

I was amazed when I was working my boss told me that my tools were insured for only £500! I was in a different trade and used to use festool stuff all the time which you got to give it to their german designers, they'd thought of everything! And the abuse the tools would take was unbelievable! Like you say they are invaluble as with out them got no income!!

the brand name isnt everything, alot of other very good makes out there al keep an eye out for them, what trade was it for?

Was a cabinet maker if you ever need a cordless drill the festool one is the one to get so verstile

lol! somtimes u end up pure dissapointed lol
, i mind buying a plane from the pound shop once, looked just like a record one, but when i went to use it the blade didnt actually fit thru the plane haha

I used to have a Snap-On account more than 20 years ago, back then there wasn't much else to buy. Prices were okay back then, but now there are plenty of others out there offering the same quality for alot less.
I don't have as much as I used to, thieving bastards decided that for me, took a whole box, MIG 130 Turbo and my specials. Never replaced them.
Just got a beat up box I used when I was racing, seen better days.
