ZS is great around the track as most will know whether from personal experience or witnessing others attempts at trackside or You Tube......
Only thorn in the side is having riden in 'InertiaM's well sorted Group N ZR 1400cc Rallycar I have never been round Brands Hatch so quick we passed ex BTCC BMW 3 series, Civics, Integras and Caterhams, Exiges etc.......
Heading down to Paddock and sliding out sideways with a predicatble car is amazing.......would be good to see a std ZS180 go up against a std ZR to see an outcome though.

there not that quick around track due to the handling.
200bhp race metro laps 1.28 in race at donny. a zr with slighly less bhp does 1.21's all down to the corners in that instance
for point and squirt it must be fun though

Even in pure straight line acceleration the ZS180 is better than the ZR160 - I regularly use a couple of bits of straight dual carrageway with clear marker points (a footbridge and an exit slip), on both the ZS is a clear 10 mph faster, it is about the same as my undertuned T16 maestro (running no intercooler and only about 8psi boost) but then the ZS is better handling than the maestro, evon on Toyo T1S and uprated suspension!

supercharged z youmention the gti metro's handling. even with individualised hydrogas suspension, arb's and the rear braces across the rear subframe, i used to find them good fun and a hoot. Mind it was 8 years or so ago. fun times eh.

I've raced a ZS around knockhill in my old ZR... in the wet right enough, and I was all over it in the corners.
The back of the ZS never felt as good in the wet, and that day it was really obvious.
That ZR went down in in history when it showed one of the regular track night Evo's how to do a lap in monsoon conditions lol
Them were the days.... the video is on youtube somewhere

My bog standard ZS is slightly slower than a friend's ZR with full janspeed exhaust, ITG induction, power boost valve and piper exhaust cam.
Til 80 miles, he's pulling some meters away but then I slowly catch him up.
Ok, he's faster in corners as he has got some KW coilovers but I think if both are standard the ZS is faster.

lol just gave my opinion on the zr site. As said, I find my ZS is more predictable than than the ZR was and it understeers less.
