Funny you should say that, I can confirm that through my company (Daily Mail... you may have heard of them) this is a wider problem than just this site, and while over 30 people (that I know of directly, probably more as well) have reported similar issues and all have the same sort of response you have had, unfortunately I can't raise it with them as I am not a customer and they are not interested in talking to me (Sky that is).
All I can say is, it *IS* a Sky Broadband issue and to keep pushing them as they *ARE* aware people are having these issues. I know from working an ISP's customer service desk in the past you are told its not the ISP's fault till a major incident is raised... Infact some companies tell you to reboot your PC, then fix it while you are rebooting, therefore making you think its your PC that was at fault.
