Thats a seperate server, but happens to be in the same German Datacenter... so looks like its a more generic thing wrong at sky broadband...

Reported to sky but the woman couldn't look at it on her pc as sky block forums etc at the call centre. She did say there were no issues logged for any sites currently so I asked her to log it. Not holding my breath as she didnt seem that interested. So anyone else on sky please ring up and log it so hopefully they will sort it. I am wanting to become a site supporter but can't until this is resolved :-(

Funny you should say that, I can confirm that through my company (Daily Mail... you may have heard of them) this is a wider problem than just this site, and while over 30 people (that I know of directly, probably more as well) have reported similar issues and all have the same sort of response you have had, unfortunately I can't raise it with them as I am not a customer and they are not interested in talking to me (Sky that is).

All I can say is, it *IS* a Sky Broadband issue and to keep pushing them as they *ARE* aware people are having these issues. I know from working an ISP's customer service desk in the past you are told its not the ISP's fault till a major incident is raised... Infact some companies tell you to reboot your PC, then fix it while you are rebooting, therefore making you think its your PC that was at fault.

Yup couldn't get on the site last night 8-9pm and I gave up thinking it was server down or some sort. I'm on Sky Fibre but currently I'm posting on 3G. Not tried at home whether it is back up and running though.

I have reported it to sky as well. The guy said they arent aware of any problems currently and suggested it must be a problem with that particular website/server. He suggested rebooting my device and router which made no difference.

You can tell him that there are about 30 odd websites that I am aware of that don't work, across 5 or 6 servers.

Thing is you're getting through to the monkeys on teir 1 support... you really want to get through to 3rd line support or the actual engineers!

This site and Brit-Cars.com are on two separate servers and both only fail to work from Sky Broadband... Everywhere else in the world they work fine!

In order to diagnose this further, and hopefully be able to track who is responsible, is anyone who has a sky broadband connection willing to do a few diagnostic checks for me? You don't have to be technical I will guide you through everything
