Where did you hear that one then? Same goes for the mk1, same engine, same schedules. Cambelts are required at 90k or 6 years whatever comes soonest.

Thought it was a BMW fix to extend major service interval. Plus thought the primary belt was narrower on MK1's?

Sell you mine for ?2000 plus a Rover Tomcat (220 Turbo Coupe)... price includes all the MK2 kit ready to spray up and bolt on plus all mods I've done left on... and the belts have been done yes!
