I'm just outside Harlow and have a Mk2 180 - Daytona's in Harlow too, and has a Mk1.
You'd be welcome to come and have a go ....

My 58 plate Vectra has vague steering and the ZS is a joy to drive in comparison, I steer and it does what I expect it to and full confidence. There are cars out there with poor feedback and yours may well be a case of driving it so long you feel it isn't right anymore?

Not entirely convinced that the colour will affect the handling/steering, but hey, you never know.....

Maybe Yellow steering wheels work better than any other colour

I may take up the offer from Dan1971 & Daytona365 for a back to back test.
I'll PM you. Harlow area is good for me as I'm in the area fairly regularly to do IT support house calls.
Are your cars fairly standard suspension wise?
It will be very interesting to test another ZS, especially one that is rated as good handling by it's owner.
I do suspect though that I've just owned it too long and got too used to it.
My MG service garage (Steve from British Legends in Southend) drove my ZS and didn't think there was anything wrong with it compared to his.
I do remember loving the handing of my old ITR DC2 but I sold that in 2003, three years before buying the ZS, with a boring car in between, so not a back to back test.
Dave

you also have to factor in wear and tear.
It probably dont feel as sharp for that exact reason, why not once the weather improves get under and give everything a once over??
bet the arb bushes are well past it.
tyres have a huge impact on feedback.

Suspension is standard mate - got aftermarket alloys, but they are 17s with Avon ZZ3 45 tyres so pretty much absolutely standard.
