I wonder if it is a late registered MK1 that had a rear end shunt and ended up with a MK2 back end. The rear window isn't tinted like the rear side windows, could it have been smashed in an accident and replaced then not re-tinted?
Still confused by the dash though, if the airbags went off in a MK1 can you just replace the part they pop out from or would the dash need replacing? For the airbags to go off you would expect some front end damage which could account for the Rover grille. Just a thought.

Maybe DVLA made a mistake and the seller has copied it from the log book/DVLA website!

It has been in a smash. When it was on ebay it said it was Cat C in the description. Its not cheap atall its a complete shed. The inside of the drivers door is Rover 400 kingfisher blue, Also has Rover 400 drivers door mirror.

Its such an odball its unreal. I dont get either why the inner door shuts/pillers are firefrost red but the outside it solar red.

It gets worse the more you look at it, looks like a 45 door card on the front passenger side. Smacks of a parts bin repair from the local yard and not registered as a repair.

Its a "bitsa" for sure.

Bit like mine, but i did it the reasonably right way, and that way is just gash.

hi

Many thanks for pointing out these these things, i am selling this car on behalf of friend of mine and he has added all these extras him self just to make it look different and because he liked the older version rover 45 so much he added some of its parts to it, and also replaced the petrol engine to diesel so it gives more mileage on fuel, also got the colour changed to red which was burgundy at one point, you will hardly find Mg zs saloon with diesel engine in it, many thanks
