well stripped down, no snapped valve but the piston was full of water so think thats how it stopped cranking over, can see where the gaskets failed at number one,
so plan at present is...
get the head tested and skimmed tomorrow, buy a uprated gasket set and ladder, new radiator, new timing belt kit, alt and pas belts think il get another inlet manifold as this ones painted..., bonnet latch cable, strip front bumper off check front end repair is up to scratch, doesnt look like its had a front panel though and get a new driver seat, treat some bits of paint and should be good

Nice project you got there Ritchy, thats a bloody bargain even if the engine is a little sick!
This takes me back to when i had my ZR160, wish i had space for another one at home but new alloys are on the cards for my mk2 so can`t be too greedy!

did a wee bit more work this evening, took all the valves out and lapped all the inlet valves in, but the wee suction cup on the lapping stick av got at home isnt sticking to the exhaust valves so gonna need me work one
valvesss
then i got carried away again, as usual....just ned to clean all the mating faces up now
