What damage was caused to the other car, if you have a high excess and you could get the damage sorted, wouldnt have to go through insurance. Sounds like you could sort most of yours, apart from a spray job.
Why did the other car mess about like it did, sounds like he didnt know where he was going, or was looking for a smack, because they all now have whiplash.
Think it may be worth having a chat with the driver, to see what was going on, dos'nt sound right.
