Right had the car on axle stands. NSR fully stuck on, OSR stuck on a little bit. I sprayed them all up, had cuppa and a fag then set about trying to loosen them off. I managed to loosen them a bit but not enough really. Handbrake has the right amount of clicks as well. Also the OSR seems to move freely for half a turn then gets stuck. I thought about the discs being warped but they have only been on there a month (Mintex Ones) Is it possible that the disc wasn't seated right when doing up the nuts??
It's got to go into the garage as I don't have the time to do it. Using the other half's car for work and going away in mine on Sat'

If the cable is slackened off is it still the same? Sounds like sticky slider pins or maybe piston.

Had this recently and it turned out to be seized rear pistons. Are the seals in good condition?

Haven't tried that mate, but it was mainly one side.

Was doing it on my own so couldn't see when moving handbrake.

I think the seals are ok, will find out on Friday as I really haven't got the time to do it before I go away on Sat' so it's in at the local garage.
If I had the luxury of time I would be able to investigate further!
I will let you all know what is turns out to be!

Right, turns out the cables were absolutely fine. It was the sliders that were sticky...........even tho the other garage said they had greased them up. This had baked my NEW pads on the nsr meaning I now have to get some new ones asap.
Got a right mind to go round to the other garage and give them a piece of my mind!!

Take plenty of pics and take them and the old pads back to the garage, should get the cost of the pads plus some £££'s for the time they charged for a bodged job!!!
