ebay doesn't care I don't think, I tried reporting the guy selling the burnt out Audi on there, but didn't get any response at all

Pi$$es me off this, all I want to do is protect the next buyer and we can't even do that.
Alan, do you have proof of the mileage when sold? This really needs to be taken further.

Can't remember properly, but, does it not get written in the v5c when exchanging hands?
And it'll be in the DVLA database after mots

Think mileage is a voluntary advisory on the V5, when you fill in the owners bit.
As you say the old MOT's is the best bet.

The new MOT "certificate" shows the mileage at the last 4 MOT passes.

When did the x4 previous MOT mileage readings come into force? My zed only has one and that expires in April. The wifes F has four but that is recent.

A law should be passed or rules at least that when selling a car with valid MOT and tax there should be a copy of the MOT certificate in the advert. That way people can run a check beforehand and verify the mileage. No doubt due to cloning there is always that excuse not to.
