Well, some of you may know that my expertise in mechanics isnt great, but you would think that I could paint my calipers without any problems. Wrong! Started getting a funny noise from the rear brakes recently. Took it to my mechanic friends, he got it up on the ramp and said, "Don't drive it." Apparently when I painted them many moons ago, the paint dripped into between the pads and either, discs or calipers cant remember which. :? He said something along the lines of 4 sets of pads were falling apart! The garage is only along the road, so I decided to get her home and take it of the road for a week and use Pam's fiesta. Was told to order up 4 new sets of pads and 2 new rear discs, (Ended up getting 4 new disc, the pictures may explain why. ) However last Saturday when I went to drive the car back to the garage, heard a horrible grinding noise front the back offside, then a noise like plates smashing! The pads had fallen out. Anyway all fixed now and luckily the caliper was ok. Just haven't needed to drive it recently as my work has been closed for a week and a half now. Snow, Snow, Snow!!!!!!!!

Also, got the straights back on for the winter.

You lifted your car with a trolley Jack on ice with nothing to chock the wheels or put under the car if it slipped.. Lucky you got away with that ..
Maybe need more planning ...

I'm rubbish too mate and wouldnt have attempted this, had I not had a dash bulb out. They are actually very easy. Took about 25 mins from start to finish. They really do make a big difference.
