I wonder, if we were to prove that our cars were under the stated C02 limit if we could actualy claim some money back ?? I know for a fact that mine was, in its' 1st MOT this January.

I've thought the same, someone must be accountable for setting the standards, but not a tolerance.

I did look into this....

Two things struck me as odd... First, the ZS180 was measured in 2001, where the calculation was slightly different to current CO2 calcualtions... So the 227g/km we have actually works out as 206g/km or there abouts on todays calculations...

I also found out that they do not take into account the *actual* co2 emissions, they take into account the Manufacturers Figures, Had MGR have stated that the ZS180 only produced 99g/km then we would be tax exempt...

The government are only after one thing... and thats to bum rape us all with taxes!

OOOPPPPPssss.....in case they don;t do a u turn on the new VED rises from next April you should've got 6 months now then 12 in December, would have delayed you having to pay £415 next June!!!
