Sorry to see any car looking that poorly, but they do crumple a lot on the outside to it often looks worse than it is, but glad it was not much worse, as it could have been looking at that road layout!

With that damage, rippling to the rear quarter too which is a huge piece of bodywork, I wouldn't be surprised to see it get written off you know .... Really hope it doesn't, but .....
Make sure you clock the mileage too ... don't want it being the garage runabout ...

That is a far amount of damage considering the other car looks untouched from the photos. Glad you were both okay, could have been worse and still not nice when kids are involved, been there myself. Hopefully it'll be repaired and if so will be as new.

Her car was untouched I knew as I walked towards it that it would be. As I glanced it I suppose so all bmw damage.
I worked out that if its written of I stand to lose around 6k. As I took it out on a fairly expensive finance plan which has interest up front and the settlement figre is 12.9k after borrowing only 12 and paying back 3k already plus putting 3k down.
Not sure how the insurance deal with that tbh, I suppose my only hope is that if it is written of that I can buy it back and self repair. Its an immaculate motor other than needing a wheel refurb
ah well beer helps, necks still sore to

Hope they just repair it.
If not start looking at Autotrader, Pistonheads, for examples with the same mileage, but at the high end. Get some copies, so you can email over to the guy that will be dealing with you.
Plus need to list all the new parts, servicing, tyres etc. Will all push their offer up.

Just seen this, what a shitter, was a lovely motor! As Dan said the damage to the rear quarter will she where all the money goes, fair bit of Labour to remove and refit/spray I'd guess.
Hope it all works out for you bud and you don't loose out.
