Went out to have a play with the ZS seeing as i had not touched it yet.
This was more for Petes benefit than mine lol, he wanted to know what was up with the v6.
One of the first things i did was put a battery on it and turned the key (had not tried that yet !
It went CLUNK
So, description said snapped belt.... so after removing some stuff !
I concluded that all belts where actually present and correct, though a little slack and contaminated.
I had taken note that there was a lot of oil under the car, and i thought it may be worse than belts.... i was right
I found these around the under tray and on the oil cooler.
So i removed the bolts holding the oil cooler on and found what i thought i might see.. a hole in the block right behind the ac compressor.
So, not the first time i have heard of this happening, fresh oil and filter change, them it chucked a rod... i don't know why this happens ?
I suspect the rear head will be ok to sell on, dont know on the inlet manifold as i have never heard it run.
Same with the alternator and such.
I also removed the engine wiring harness in case i go down the modifying route.
So this is how it looks now.
