Your one to talk lol.

I will slowly take bits off this, i cant get the engine out until Vard returns with a crane.. hence why i will be concentrating with the T16 over the next few weeks.

This was more because sun was out, and i was interested to see what had gone wrong with it.

I'm thinking it has thrown number 1 rod, no idea why though.

Yup... thing is, it doesn't seem like a rare problem, i have read a fair few posts suggesting that conrod failure is most likely to occur just after and oil and filter change (which this had just had).

Strange but true.

Weird, I have heard of a few zt v6's doing it, but not zs's.

I wonder what the oil change has to do with it ?

Some are saying if the filter is not primed it causes issues... but im rather skeptical, every one i have read about so far though has had a service with in a month or so..

Mine lasted the last owner about a week after a service, clutch, slave cylinder and cv joints...

As i said, receipt for over £500.00 in January !!

The standard of work is erm a little rubbish though, a bell housing bolt is sticking out underneath, cable ties holding the Slave cylinder to its bracket, random odd bolt in the pas pump pulley.. stuff like that.

Very odd, I usually prime the filter, then pull the fuel pump relay and whizz it over on the starter to put the oil light out, but I wouldn't expect not doing that to have such drastic results.

At least you've scored some brand new bits to re-use.

Yeah, random bolts fitted or missing shows a lack of attention to detail, not good.
